Zelda of the Moor

Where wind meets silence, the moor listens back

Bramble and the Codex of Harmonic Adventures: Bramble of Bodmin Moor.

£5.99

Bodmin Moor, the world hums a little differently.

The wind carries half-forgotten songs, the brambles glow faintly at dusk, and the silence is never truly silent. As the patterns of the Fae stir beneath the soil, the trio are drawn into a harmony older than language: spirals in the grass that move like thought, mirrors that dream, and a song the landscape sings when no one is watching.

The Cottage Between the Circles

The lane to Bodmin Moor was the kind that seemed to forget where it was going. It began confidently enough at the crossroads two honest hedgerows, a glimpse of telegraph wire and then, as though distracted by its own reflection in a puddle, it dwindled into a single ribbon of mud and moss. There was a low mist breathing along its edges, and every now and then the gorse leaned close to whisper something to the wind. In the back seat of the little green car sat Ari, her cheek pressed to the window, watching the world dissolve into silver. Beside her, with one paw on a crumpled map, was Bramble a spaniel the colour of toasted chestnuts, whose eyes glowed with the sort of intelligence that frequently gets dogs into trouble. She had been barking quietly under her breath for several miles, a low conversational bark that meant, I know something you don’t, but I’m not telling yet.
